"Improving the competitiveness and increasing the energy efficiency of ECOSEM BULGARIA LTD"
"ECOSEM BULGARIA" LTD, in its capacity as beneficiary under administrative agreement for gratuitous financial aid No. BG16RFPR001-2.004-0979-C01, is implementing a project under the "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027 Program, co-financed by the European Union, under selection procedure No. BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Enterprises".
Project Goal
The main goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy sources (RES), thereby accelerating the transition to climate neutrality by reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and increasing the share of RES in the energy mix.
Specific Objectives
- Increasing the use of renewable energy sources through the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption.
- Increasing the efficiency of production processes and improving economic sustainability by balancing energy consumption.
- Increasing competitiveness and sustainability by reducing dependence on external suppliers and fluctuations in fossil fuel prices.
- Limiting the carbon footprint by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Contribution to the implementation of national and European climate and energy goals, including the goals of the European Green Deal, the "Fit for 55" package, and the Integrated Energy and Climate Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Activities
The project envisions the implementation of the activity "Improving energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources in enterprises". This is achieved through investments in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption with a capacity of 73 kW, in combination with local energy storage facilities (batteries). This ensures independence and a lasting reduction in the company's energy intensity.
